Keynote address - Ken Lay - White Ribbon Day 2015

This keynote address was delivered by the Chair of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Advisory Panel on Reducing Violence against Women and their Children, Mr Ken Lay, former Chief Commissioner of the Victoria Police. Mr Lay reflected on the underlying causes of violence against women and how we all might begin to change the attitudes that encourage it, and talked about the emotion he felt when presented with confronting new research being released today about the attitudes of young people.

RSIPF recruit applicants examination

RSIPF wishes to inform all the applicants from Honiara for the police recruitment, who have passed the physical test that the next stage of the process which is the examination will be held this Saturday 24 October 2020 at the St John School, Rove, West Honiara as well at the Rove Police Headquarters.

The list of candidates and the various times for the examination as well as the venues for the exam can be viewed at the Rove Police Headquarters or any of the police stations in Honiara.

RSIPF Crime Prevention Strategy Brochure

Crime Prevention needs to be a priority for the RSIPF as not only will it build community confidence in the RSIPF, reduce the fear of crime and build relationships with the community, but it will provide a most effective strategy for dealing with crime. The strategy will also provide the RSIPF with improved information and intelligence with which it can deal with crime issues as they develop, not wait until issues occur and have to deal with the reactive policing issues.

Support the development and delivery of joint training in furtherance of the material provided in the RSIPF Environmental Crime Manual, including the joint development of the training package, joint delivery of training, and participation of participants from both agencies and other SIG stakeholders.
