Officers of the Royal Solomon Police Force (RSIPF) at Tulagi have arrested a 44-year-old male suspect for shooting a 33-year-old female victim with cocoa fruits.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province, Superintendent David Soakai said the suspect had an argument about his burning house with the victim in a cocoa plantation.
PPC Soakai said during the argument it was alleged that the suspect shot the victim with cocoa fruits belonging to the victim several times.
Macedonia Academy in the Koa Hill recently welcomed visiting officers from the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) contingent of the Solomons’ International Assistance Force (SIAF).

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the National Investigation Department (NCID) have charged the captain of MV Taimareho 1 with 27 counts of Manslaughter on 13 July 2022.
Supervising Director National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) Superintendent Michael Bole says, “The charge of the captain of MV Taimareho 1 related to the tragic incident that involved death of 27 people washed away by waves from the MV Taemareho due to overloading of the vessel on 3 April 2020.”

Honiara Central Magistrates’ Court have granted a remand application to remand a 30-year-old male suspect in relation to an alleged murder incident at Town ground area on 9 July 2022.
It was alleged that the suspect was chased by the deceased and others. The suspect swung his right hand with a small knife in his hand and landed on the deceased’s body.
PRT kill 3.5-metre croc in Makira-Ulawa Province recently
The Police Response Team (PRT) under the National Response Department (NRD) of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has successfully killed one crocodile at the Wairafa Lake, Santa Ana, Makira-Ulawa Province recently.
Director National Response Department (NRD) Chief Superintendent Francis Ramoni says, “The Owa Rafa Council of Chiefs reported to Kirakira Police following frequent sightings of a crocodile at the Wairafa Lake by communities of Santa Ana Island.”
