Deputy Commissioner (DC) Operations of the Royal Solomon Island Police Ms Juanita Matanga have visited Maluu Police Station as part of her provincial tour in Malaita Province to give moral support to frontline police officers.
DC Matanga who accompanied by the Malaita Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Superintendent Leslie Kili had a muster with the police officers at Malu’u police station to discuss different policing issues.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), with the support of the Australian Federal Police (AFP), conducted the ‘Operation Disruption’ in East Honiara recently.
The operation covers areas at Henderson and further East as far as Corona Market in the Tenaru area on North Guadalcanal.
The operational focus was to issue warnings to people engaged in the production and selling of kwaso and illegal gambling. This included alcohol licensing audits and search for any other contraband in sites visited.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) partnership program with the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), RSIPF-AFP Policing Partnership Program (RAPPP), donated victim support packages to the Christian Care Centre (CCC) at Tenaru in North Guadalcanal last week.
AFP Superintendent, Steve Turnbull, handed over the victim care packages, which were funded by the RAPPP and by AFP members’ donations. The church sisters who run the day-to-day operation of the Centre, provided Superintendent Turnbull with an overview of the Centre and its functions.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at Munda in Western Province are investigating the discovery of the body of an adult female who believed to have hanged herself in a kitchen house on 19 June 2022.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Western Province Chief Superintendent Mathias Lenialu says, “The deceased and her husband had a little misunderstanding that lead to a minor argument which resulted in the wife decided to took her own life by hanging herself with a piece of rope in their own kitchen house.”
Police officers of the China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) visited some RSIPF police officers’ families in need of assistance together with Chinese Embassy and the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) welfare officers on Saturday 18 June 2022.
Each of these families has a sick child and is living a hard life. CPLT to Solomon Islands and the Chinese Embassy Staff brought some small assistance for these families. They had warm talks with the family members and learned more about their daily life and difficulties.
