Criminal investigators of Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Central Police Station are investigating an alleged robbery done by three local men to a foreign national at China town opposite the Mataniko baby clinic on 18 April 2021.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Honiara City Superintendent John Matamaru says, “Report states that the complainant parked his vehicle at some distance from LS shop at China town and locked it. The vehicle was stationed in front of Jack Wong’s shop close to Mataniko clinic.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team will be conducting another live demolition of bombs at the Hells Point, in Alligator Creek from 21 to 23 April 2021

Supervising Officer In-charge (OIC) of EOD, Staff Sergeant Peter Ririvere says, “The Hells Point Demolition Range will be active from 8am to 12 mid-day from 21 to 23 April 2021.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) appeals to the suspect in an alleged murder incident of a Chinese national in Honiara on 13 April 2021 to surrender himself to police.

This follows the death of a 44-year-old female Chinese national a week ago at the White Angel building in Honiara.

Police know who is this person and he has escaped from Honiara to his home village in Kwaio, Malaita Province.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Henderson Police Station have arrested a foreign national for the allegation of rape of a 11-year-old girl at Lunga area, East of Honiara over the weekend.

The matter was reported to police by the victim’s mother at Henderson Police Station on 14
April 2021.

Provincial Police Commander Guadalcanal Province (PPC) Chief Superintendent Alfred Uiga Says “The victim’s mother called in at Henderson Police Station and reported that her daughter were raped by a Bangladesh national in his bedroom two weeks ago.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at Henderson Police Station are investigating an arm group of men who enter the Metropolis Development site at Mamara in West Guadalcanal and damages some properties on 16 April 2021.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Guadalcanal Province Chief Superintendent Alfred Uiga says, “The group of men have entered the Mamara site on three vehicles fully arm with weapons. The group of men moved in to the site aggressively and chase the Chinese workers and using abusive words towards them.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Taro Police Station in Choiseul Province have arrested and charged a 27-year-old male person for allegedly attempt to rape a 17-year-old girl at Vuvudu Village in South Choiseul on 9 April 2021.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Choiseul Province Superintendent Vincent Eria says, “Initial report states that the suspect allegedly push the victim down to the ground, pull her skirt down and indecently pressing her breast. The victim managed to escape after she struggle against the suspect.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at the National Traffic Centre are investigating a traffic accident, which involve a white Toyota Hilux opposite the Solomon Motor gas station in Honiara on 17 April 2021.

Director of the National Traffic Department Superintendent Fredrick Satu says, “The Hilux was travelling in the eastly direction when approaching towards the Yacht club intersection opposite to Solomon Motor when the vehicle accidently veered off road by climbing up the middle lane island and crashed on to the an electric street light.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) today (16 April 2021) farewelled Solomon Islands Police Development Program (SIPDP) local advisor Johnson Honimae after serving four years with the program.

RSIPF Commissioner Mostyn Mangau has acknowledged and greatly appreciate the service rendered by SIPDP advisor Honimae during his four years in the RSIPF. Advisor Honimae was the first and only local advisor employee by the Australian High Commission under the SIPDP program.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has started on the construction of two new police stations at Aola and Avu Avu in Guadalcanal province to allow RSIPF to continue to deliver its services in the province.

The Aola police station located in East Central Guadalcanal will be re-built after it was burnt down in a fire due to an electrical fault in 2020 and the Avu Avu police station in South Guadalcanal has been taken down and a new one built in its place.

Officers in the National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) together with the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) at the Honiara City Central Police Station are investigating the suspicious death of a 44-year-old female Chinese national in Honiara today (13 April 2021)

An initial report say that the deceased left her house in the Ranadi area, east Honiara to drop off her twin sons at school in the morning and then went down to her shop inside the White Angel Building in Point Cruz to open it as normal.
