More than 400 officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) from Honiara City, the Rove Police Headquarters and Guadalcanal Province today commenced the ‘Operation Festive Season 2020/2021 provide security in Honiara City and Guadalcanal Province during the Christmas and New Year celebrations
Officers of the RSIPF in other provinces throughout Solomon Islands have also stated similar Operations to ensure law and order, there’s security, peace and harmony in our provincial centers and the rest of the communities.
Fifteen officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) have completed three weeks of Maritime Safety training held at the Maritime Base in Honiara from 30 November to 18 December 2020.
This is the second group of a total of 39 officers who undertook the same training.
SOL Safety qualified trainers under the Solomon Island Maritime Safety and Administration (SIMSA) provided the training to equip police officers with new knowledge and skills for deployment to the Western border with Papua New Guinea.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Lata Police Station in Temotu Province have arrested and charged three men for driving unlicensed motor vehicles during a traffic check on 7 December 2020.
It is alleged that on 7 December 2020 the three male drivers were providing transport services at the inland communities of Noipe, Nea and Noole villages on Santa Cruz island.
The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) has farewelled 17 officers who have retired from the Force during a ceremony held at Rove Police Headquarters in Honiara on 16 December 2020.
The 17 officers, include two female and 15 male officers. Seven of the retired officers were serving in the provinces and 10 serving in Honiara.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Henderson Police Station in Guadalcanal Province have arrested a 30-year-old male suspect in relation to a death incident that occurred at the Island Night Club, East of Honiara on 6 November 2020.
Officers at the Henderson Police Station arrested the suspect after his father handed him to police this morning (15 December 2020).

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) National Traffic Department arrested and charged a male driver after his vehicle collided with another vehicle at the Kola Ridge Bus Stop in East Honiara on 13 December 2020.
It is alleged that the male driver was driving a Toyota short boot sprinter car when he collided with another vehicle owned by the Honiara City Council (HCC) in front of the Kola Ridge Bus stop.
