Officers of the National Crime Prevention Department (NCPD) of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) have collected seven kwaso distillation equipment from the Mosquito Community at Burns Creek with the support of the community elders.
Director NCPD Superintendent Solomon Sisimia says. “The collection of the kwaso equipment was done yesterday (21 May 2020) in response to an appeal given to the community earlier on.”
The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in Honiara arrested 33 suspects at the end of the 36-hour lockdown order in the declared emergency order from Poha to Alligator Creek the State of Public Emergency (SoPE).
The lockdown was from 6pm on Wednesday 20 May to 6am this morning Friday 22 May 2020.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force at the Gizo Police Station have conducted Crime Prevention awareness talks in south east Vella la Vella in Western Province following a request by community leaders and the Chairman of the Crime Prevention Committee (CPC) 20 May 2020.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Western Province Chief Superintendent Mathias Lenialu says, “The Community Policing (COMPOL) Team at the Gizo Police Station conducted awareness talks at Varese, Malasova and Leona villages mainly on crimes committed in the communities.”
Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) have so far arrested 22 suspects for the alleged breaching of the lockdown order under the State of Public Emergency which has been declared from 6pm last night (20 May 2020) to 6am tomorrow morning (22 May 2020) within the Emergency Zone from Poha, west of Honiara to Alligator Creek east of the capital.
The 22 suspects were arrested between 6pm last night and early this morning.
The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) operation to enforce the COVID-19 lockdown in the declared Emergency Zone from Poha to Alligator Creek has begun this morning with officers deployed to assist with movement of people from Honiara City safely to their homes before the lockdown starts at 6 pm this evening.The lockdown will end at 6am on Friday this week.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) deployed to the common border between Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea conducted an awareness talk for youth at Kariki in Shortland Islands on 18 May 2020.
Commander of the Police Forward Command Post (PFCP) at the Kulitanai Police Station, in the Shortlands, Western Province Inspector Wilken Miriki says, “The awareness talk was an initiative by the Kariki community for their youth.”
Chiefs and elders at Kariki Village in the Shortland Islands, Western Province appreciate the Ministry of Police, National Security and Correctional Services (MPNCS) for the latest infrastructure developments on their islands.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) deployed to the common border between Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea have undergone training on how to use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at the Kulitanai Police Station by members of the Solomon Islands Medical Assistance Team (SOLMAT) on 17 May 2020.
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force, (RSIPF) National Traffic Department have recorded a total of 38 traffic incidences in the period 8 to 14 May 2020 in Honiara compared to the previous week when a total of 49 cases were reported.
Six cases were reported by complainants and 32 were reported by officers at the National Traffic Department in Honiara.
