Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in the Makira Ulawa Province have recovered the body of a one-year-old male child that went missing at Hagaehu Village in Central Makira on 23 March 2020.
One of the villagers found the body of the missing child on 28 March 2020. This is a very sad incident as the body of the deceased was discovered to have been buried just 30 feet away from the Hagaehu logging road, about 2.5 kilometres from Hagaehu Village having missing for six days.
The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is suspending its police clearance services at the Rove Police Headquarters in Honiara as part of measures to restrict members of the public from entering police stations given the possibility of the corona virus (COVID-19) entering the country.
“The RSIPF Forensics Department at the Rove Police Headquarters has suspended its police clearance report services until further notice to reduce the number of people entering the Headquarters,” says Acting Commissioner of Police, Mostyn Mangau.
