Three adult male persons have been ordered to pay fines during a police and magistrate tour to Utupua and Vanikoro islands in Temotu Province recently.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) of Temotu Province, Superintendent James Toaki explains: “The tour was from 21 – 31 October 2019 when two of my officers and a magistrate from Lata travelled to Utupua and Vanikoro islands on a court circuit.”
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) are continuing to monitor the security situation in Malaita Province following a report of the presence of ex-combatants in Auki since last Friday (1 November 2019).

During the opening of the training, Provincial Police Commander (PPC) of Temotu, Superintendent James Toaki says, “I encourage you officers who are attending the training to go through the requalification as it is a requirement of the Police Force.”
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in Guadalcanal Province are investigating the death of a 14- year-old girl at Paila Village, Tangarare, West Guadalcanal on 19 October 2019.
It is alleged that on 18 October 2019, the deceased and her girlfriend went to a nearby village to witness a handing over ceremony of a project at a Home Stay in the area. She did not return home.
It is further alleged that during that night both girls were amongst some boys who were drinking alcohol at Paila village.

Communities in the Central Province appreciate the work of officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at Tulagi in making them aware of laws protecting the lives of people in the country.
This follows a two-day awareness program from 26 – 27 October 2019 at New Vunuha and Bokolonga Villages as well as the Tulagi Anglican church.
The awareness program included discussions on the RSIPF Crime Prevention Strategy, the Kwaso Action Plan and the Family Protection Act.
