Maternity uniform for pregnant RSIPF officers

The Australian Federal Police (AFP), through its partnership program with the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), has supported the introduction of a maternity uniform for RSIPF female officers.

Funding support from the RSIPF-AFP Policing Partnership Program (RAPPP) enabled the RSIPF’s Women Adversary Networking (WAN) to achieve this important goal.

The maternity uniform is similar in appearance to the RSIPF standard uniform and includes a long pant or skirt option along with an adjustable shirt that maintains a professional look.

Former MP for Ulawa Constituency arrested for the allegation of conversion of shipping fund

The Corruption Investigators of the National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) have arrested the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ulawa Constituency On Thursday 18 January 2024 following the alleged conversion of SBD$5 million dollars for the shipping funds in 2016.

The matter was reported to the police on 27 April 2017 by representatives from the constituency and an investigation has commenced.

AC Provincial and CPLT Commissioner make a courtesy visit to caretaker premier of Malaita Province

The Assistant Commissioner (AC) Provincial of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Mr. Leonard Tahnimana and Team Leader (TL) China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) Commissioner Zhao Jinyong have a courtesy visit to the caretaker premier of Malaita Province recently.

The purpose of the visit is to inform the caretaker premier of Malaita Province Mr. Martin Fini about CPLT and RSIPF Honiara base officers who will be conducting a two weeks Public Order Management (POM) training for Malaita police officers.

Auki police prepare for NGE 24 in April

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in Malaita have prepared for the Synchronized National General Election 2024 (NGE24) in April this year.

As part of the preparation of officers in Malaita, they underwent a two weeks intensive training in Auki which was conducted by RSIPF instructor and China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) officers.

Assistant Commissioner (AC) Provincial Mr. Leonard Tahnimana said the training commences on 18 January and will finish on 26 January 2024 at Auki end of this week.

Auki police conduct route match

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in Auki have conducted a route match as part of physical fitness for police officers on 18 January 2024.

The route match was successfully conducted by China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) for officers in Malaita who were in Auki for the Public Order Management (POM) training.

The caretaker premier of Malaita province, provincial secretary and provincial workers also form part of the route match.

Auki police receive police operational equipment during official opening program of POM training in Malaita Province

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in Auki Police Station have received new Toyota double cabin Hilux and police operational equipment during an official Public Order Management (POM) training opening in Auki on 18 January 2024.

The new Hilux and police operational equipment will be used during the two weeks long training program that officially opens on 18 January 2024 and will be distributed to officers in Malaita to do their duties.

Gizo police friendly match with Nukunau community

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Gizo police station successfully conducted a friendly volleyball match at Nukunau community in Western Province on 16 January 2024.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Western Province, Chief Superintendent Mathias Lenialu says, “Our Community Policing team has organised a friendly volleyball match on our sport day (Tuesdays) with one of the communities that have an existing Crime Prevention Committee.”

RSIPF and NZ police strengthen policing partnership program during Commissioner Mangau recent visit to New Zealand

The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) and New Zealand (NZ) Police strengthen policing partnership during Commissioner Mostyn Mangau visit to New Zealand late last year 2023.

The purpose of the visit is to further strengthen the Pacific Policing ties between the Solomon Islands and New Zealand Police to Support and the development of the RSIPF Crime Prevention, Community Policing and training across the Solomon Islands.

A 22 years-old male person sentenced to 12 months imprisonment for damaging land surveyors equipment

A 22 years-old male person from Malaita Province was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment after he was found guilty of wilful and unlawful damage to land surveyors equipment after his Court hearing recently at Auki Magistrates’ Court.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province, Superintendent Leslie Kili said the incident took place in Auki town on 18 October last year.

RSIPF and CPLT successfully conduct the first police route march in Western province

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in Western Province and China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) have successfully conducted the first police route march in Gizo, Western Province.

About thirty RSIPF officers, together with three CPLT officers marched in an orderly pace, shouted loudly and headed for Gizo Police Station. The route march started at 7 am from Meddean highway.
