RSIPF farewell three Kiwi Police Officers serve under SIPSP program

The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) have farewelled three New Zealand Police Officers who serve under Solomon Island Police Support Program (SIPSP) this week.

The three New Zealand (NZ) Police Officers were farewelled with a presentation of certificates of appreciation and international Operation medal to recognise their good work while supporting the RSIPF in crime prevention.

The NZ Police Officers serve under the SIPSP program way back in 2021 and their mission complete today as we witness.

NZ Police and RSIPF NCPD delivers week long training course on Family Violence to RSIPF Coordinators

New Zealand (NZ) Police attached to the Solomon Islands Police Support Programme (SIPSP) and the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) National Crime Prevention Department have developed and delivered a Family Violence Training programme for the RSIPF Family Violence Coordinators.

The training focuses on 3 levels of intervention and risk mitigation to prevent Family Violence and to reduce harm and victimisation.

The 3 levels include the first level of response and investigation at a local level with all RSIPF officers who attend and investigate Family Violence.

Nurses, pharmacists trained to handle fire extinguishers

About 20 nurses and pharmacists who work at the National Referral Hospital (NRH) in Honiara have attended an important fire safety training session recently.

The training was organised to teach participating nurses and pharmacists from various Divisions in the NRH how to identify and safely use a fire extinguisher in the event of a fire incident in the NRH.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Fire & Rescue Service Supervisor, Inspector Philip Luqara, and Fire Advisor, Inspector Gary Power, conducted the one-day training.

The RSIPF Security Planning Team and China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) made the visit to different venues as part of the security plan for the PG23 today (20 April 2023).

Thirty percent of RSIPF received 5 Step Mindset training

About 30 percent of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) have received 5 step mindset training programs which were coordinated, conducted and delivered by Solomon Island Police Support Program (SIPSP).

The 5 step mindset training has now been delivered across every province within the Solomon Islands. The training will be continued to be delivered in the coming months to RSIPF officers across the Solomon Islands.

New Zealand Police attached to the SIPSP have developed a 5 Step Mindset training program for the Royal Solomon Island Police Force.

Kirakira police conduct SARA model training for CPC members at Manita village

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in Kirakira Police Station have conducted SARA model training for the Crime Prevention Committee (CPC) members on 17 April 2023.

SARA-Scanning, Analysis, Response and Assessment (SARA) Model is a familiar process of conducting problem-oriented policing.

RSIPF boosted with expertise from CPLT on security event planning in preparation for the PG23

Pacific Games 2023 (PG23) Security Planning Team of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), had been boosted with a workshop on security event planning yesterday (18 April 2023).

The workshop was coordinated and delivered by experts from China Police Liaison Team, (CPLT) focussing on Safety Management of major events in preparation for the PG23 which will happen from 19 November to 2 December 2023.

Man hit his wife with a hammer arrested

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Gizo Police Station have arrested a man for hitting his wife with a hammer last week.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Western Province, Chief Superintendent Mathias Lenialu said the de facto couple had an argument at home and following the argument, the defendant used a hammer and hit the victim’s head.

Police conduct high visibility presence at Fiu Village during consecration of Bishop Michael Bebeu

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (SIPF) at Auki in Malaita Province have conducted high visibility operations during the consecration of Malaita Diocese Anglican Bishop, Reverend Michael Bebeu at Fiu Cathedral in Central Kwara’ae from 14 to 16 April 2023.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Superintendent Leslie Kili says, “The operation high visibility was mounted purposely to oversee security in maintaining law and order during the consecration of Bishop.”

RSIPF 2022/2023 RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN – HONIARA SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES FOR THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force [RSIPF] Human Resources Department has completed the Shortlisting Process for the Honiara Candidates. Due to the large number of Shortlisted Candidates, Applicants are advised to check for their names at any nearby Police Station within Honiara City including Henderson Police Station. Candidates who pass the Entrance Examination will proceed on further for Interview and Entry Fitness Test stages.
