The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in Auki, Malaita Province held its first interfaith fellowship program today 29 July 2022 after the State of Public Emergency (SoPE) was lifted recently.
During the interfaith program, Pastor Malcom Moli from South Seas Evangelical Church (SSEC) in Auki inspires and encourages officers with the theme ‘Why we are here serving the RSIPF’.
The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) and the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC) conducted joint Public Order Management (POM) exercises last week.
Under RSIPF ‘Operation Parliament’, the RPNGC and the Solomons’ International Assistance Force (SIAF) contingents will support the RSIPF in maintaining law and order to ensure the continued safety of the Solomon Islands people, institutions and infrastructure.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF)’s Fire and Rescue Service has received new firefighting equipment from the Australian Federal Police (AFP).
The essential equipment, worth about SBD$280,000, included firefighting boots, gloves, torches, hoses, hose branches and a generator. The gift from the AFP is intended to help the RSIPF when responding to fire, rescue and hazardous material incidents.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team will be conducting an unexploded ordnance (UXO) demolition (bomb blasting) on Shortland Island in the Western Province from Monday 25 July to Tuesday 26 July 2022.
The operation will be conducted from 8am to 4pm in those two days respectively.
The tasks will be carried out on two specific areas at Nila and Hitou in the Shortlands.
The Royal Solomon Police Force (RSIPF) at the Western Border between Papua New Guinea and Solomon Island (PNG SI) warned drone users to stop flying drones in the area of operation.
The warning came when the police sighted two drones on 20 July 2022 floated at about 60 to 80 metres high above Harapa police post.
