Trio arrested for break-in incident in Malaita province
Auki police have arrested three male persons for a break-in incident at Aenarii village in northeast Malaita on 9 May 2025.
The break-in incident occurred on 7 May 2025, where the suspects removed properties valued at about $21,000.00.
Operation Manager for Malaita Province, Superintendent Michael Ramosaea, said the suspects are between 20 and 30 years old. The suspects have been arrested, but the properties are yet to be recovered.
Superintendent Ramosaea said the victim came forward with witnesses who informed him of the incident and the identity of those who broke into his home and stole his property.
Operation Manager Mr. Ramosaea said the suspects were charged and are currently remanded at Auki Correctional Facilities awaiting their court date.
Mr. Ramosaea urges community members to continue to report and provide information to police to help with the investigation.
“We acknowledge individuals who have continued to work closely with RSIPF in ensuring our communities are safe,” said Ramosaea.
