Police arrests two male for drunk and disorder

Auki police have recently arrested a 19-year-old and a 25-year-old male person for drunk and disorderly after both were seen breaking bottles along Auki road in Malaita Province.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Chief Superintendent Tex Tafoa says, “Auki officers approached both drunkards, but they refused to comply and even tried to assault one of the officers.”

“The suspects were arrested and bailed to appear before Auki Magistrate on a later date,” PPC Tafoa said.
PPC Tafoa wishes to thank the general public and provincial security officers who assisted police with the arrest of the two suspects.

“It is a communal effort to combat crime in our communities and town. Parents, guidance, church leaders, and community elders, it is essential that we take responsibility in teaching and shaping our children to be better individuals,” PPC Tafoa emphasized.
