Fujian police college high level delegation in the country to dialogue with RSIPF on capacity development

President and Director General (DG) of the Fujian Police College (FPC), Ms. Hubao Zhen, during the meeting with the RSIPF Executive.

The president and director general of the Fujian Police College (FPC) are in the country to have a dialogue with the senior Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) executive on capacity development.

The four-member delegation team met with the RSIPF Executive on 16 June 2025 at Rove police headquarters.

During the meeting with the Director General of the Fujian Police College, the RSIPF Commissioner, Mr. Mostyn Mangau, said, "There are two areas I want your team to work on, which are the need for modern history of the police force and the standards of physical exercise for the RSIPF."

Commissioner Mangau said with the changes in the policing in the region, the standards of the physical exercise program will keep our RSIPF officers to the professional standard expected to do the policing for our people.

Mr. Mangau said, “With your presence, I appreciate your visit to the RSIPF for the discussion for the betterment of the police force, and I am encouraging the RSIPF Executive to work closely with your team for the benefit of this organization and to protect our communities.”

President and Director General (DG) of the Fujian Police College (FPC), Ms. Hubao Zhen, in response during the meeting, said, “I am happy to meet you and your RSIPF Executive to dialogue on certain key areas of capacity development.”

President Zhen said, as mentioned by the RSIPF Commissioner Mangau,

that there is a need for the modern history of the police force and the standards of physical exercise for the RSIPF; that is one of our duties, and later we will further discuss these two topics during the week.

Ms. Zhen said, "I am happy with the level of professionalism your RSIPF officer’s conduct in the past trainings that have been organized in China." This reflects the commitment to excellence and the importance of continuous learning within the force.

A gift presentation also took place between the RSIPF and the Fujian Police College delegation as a token of appreciation between the two policing parties.

The team will meet with some officers of the RSIPF during a one-week visit program to get some input for the police cooperation program.
