The National Crime Prevention Department of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), together with the China Liaison Team (CPLT), recently conducted an awareness program in Malaita Province.
The team is led by RSIPF Assistant Commissioner (AC), Corporate Support Stanley Riolo.
They visited sixteen remote communities in north Malaita, including Tacovia and Suva, and visited two schools. The team conducted five community policing and cultural exchange activities.
During the visit, they donated over 510 items—including uniforms, daily necessities, and cultural and sports materials—valued at more than 60,000 Solomon Dollars.
The team also shared China's 'Fengqiao Experience' in community policing, delivered crime prevention lectures, and showcased traditional Chinese martial arts.
They interacted with nearly 3000 community residents, teachers, and students and received a warm welcome and high praise from the local people.
The local said the RSIPF and CPLT have brought not only material support but also experience sharing and spiritual encouragement, making the northern community of Malaita more united and more proactive.
This trip to Malaita Province is another practice by RSIPF and CPLT to consolidate friendship and deepen police cooperation following their visit to Malaita Province in March this year.
Police remain committed to supporting the development of safe communities and ensuring a secure and stable environment in preparation for the Pacific Islands Forum scheduled for September 2025.
