Western Province police conduct awareness program as part of preparation for the PIFLM retreat in Noro

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in the Western Province began their awareness campaign in support of the upcoming Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting (PIFLM) retreat in Noro.
The campaign is supported by the combined police team from Noro, Seghe, Munda, Ringi, and Taro police and the supporting team from the Police Response Team (PRT) in preparation for the upcoming day retreat in Noro.
Operation Commander in Western Province, Supervising Deputy Commissioner Operations Mr. Mathias Lenialu, said the awareness campaign and traffic check were conducted in various identified areas in Noro and Munda.
“On 4 September 2025, the police awareness team did awareness at the Black Town area at the Noro base while the team of traffic officers carried out a traffic check along the Noro main road.
Supervising DC Operation Mr. Lenialu said, “This police operation is zero tolerance. Any offense committed by offenders will be dealt with seriously.
These initiatives are to promote peace, safety, and good conduct among all citizens in the Western Province and the country as a whole.
Mr. Lenialu said, "Officers from Taro, Choiseul Province, left Taro Station and arrived safely at Noro to provide support to the PIFLM operation for a one-day retreat at Noro."
DC operation Lenialu welcomes the arrival of the officers that will boost the manpower on the ground. The officers will greatly support the current ongoing awareness, high visibility, zero tolerance, and cleanup operation in Noro and Munda.
