School properties damage: Police arrests

Maluu Police have arrested a 24-year-old man for damaging school properties at Rameai Primary School in North Malaita recently.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) of Malaita Province, Inspector Michael Ramosaea, said the suspect damaged a classroom louvre, doorknobs, and a ladder connecting the lower and upper levels of the school classroom.

PPC Ramosaea said the suspect was arrested and bailed; he will appear before Auki Magistrates’ Court on a later date.

PPC Ramosaea calls on Malaita youth to refrain from engaging in unlawful activities. The properties are a school asset that will benefit our children. Parents continue to discipline our future generations.
