White River police investigators boosted with crime investigation training
CPLT shared experience during the training
Ten police investigators of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at White River Police Station were boosted with criminal investigation training with the support from the China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) recently.
The criminal investigation training is to strengthen the capabilities of the investigators to deal with changing reality in dealing with crimes.
Training covered the full investigative process, including crime scene protection, preliminary investigations, evidence collection, investigative techniques, interrogation methods, and case documentation.
The CPLT assisted by providing additional expertise and conducting practical sessions on crime scene sketching, as well as introducing modern criminal investigation technologies such as forensic imaging.
An investigator who participated in the training said the training boosted their investigative knowledge and critical thinking.
He expressed their gratitude to the CPLT for supporting the initiative, acknowledging that it effectively addressed gaps in investigation, and looking forward to continued cooperation with the CPLT in future sessions.
