RSIPF invite and witness the 6th anniversary celebration of the Stream Valley community policing programme in west Honiara

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at White River Police Station and the National Crime Prevention Department (NCPD) have invited and witnessed the 6th anniversary of the Stream Valley Community Policing Programme (CPP) on 31 July 2026.

Stream Valley Community, located at Nggosi Ward in the West Honiara constituency, celebrates the event annually after its establishment in 2021 with the support of the RSIPF and other stakeholders.

In his keynote address, Deputy Director of NCPD Staff Sergeant (SSgt) Raymond Togapada stated that this year’s theme—"Peaceful Community, Better Living for All”—is central to our National Crime Prevention Strategy.

Deputy Director SSgt Togapada said a peaceful community is not merely the absence of crime; it is the presence of trust, harmony, and mutual respect.

SSgt Togapada said peace is the foundation of better living. By choosing to prioritise peace and working alongside the police, Stream Valley is actively creating a higher quality of life for every family across all four zones.

Operation Manager, White River Police Station, Sergeant (Sgt) Simaruth Loe, in her brief remarks during the programme, said your police RSIPF are committed and remain firm to support, protect and work closely with your community leaders.

Operation Manager Loe said, “We want to be a police force that is close to the people, built on mutual trust and respect, so when you take the responsibility to keep your community safe, we will be right beside you and support you.”

Sgt Loe said, “Together let’s build a safer Nggosi Ward, especially Stream Valley Community, a safer place for our future young generation.”

Among the guests who attend the programme are the Officer In-Charge of the White Police Station, Solomon Island Police Support Programme; the Chairman of the Nggosi Ward Crime Prevention Board, Mr Paul Terry; and a representative from Hatanga Company, Mr John Mae.
