There was no arrest made, as the suspect escaped when the police arrived at the location of the garden marijuana.
Police remind those intending to be involved in cultivating marijuana that it is a serious crime under the Dangerous Drug Act and the penalty is harsh.
Police emphasised the importance of community cooperation in reporting illegal activities and urged communities to assist the police in maintaining a safe community free from cultivating marijuana.
The RSIPF continues to ensure the safety of the communities and the enforcement of the law, more especially on those cultivating marijuana, and this will continue.
RSIPF has acknowledged those who are working closely with the police for the successful operation to uproot those marijuana plants.
