The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) would like to clarify that a search warrant has been served to Georgina Maka’a of In-Depth Solomons (IDS) to obtain information, not for revealing a reporter's source.

Police like to make it very clear that such information is very vital for an ongoing investigation to bring persons of interest involved before the court.

The RSIPF acknowledges that an administrative error occurred in the name stated on the search warrant when it was executed.

The Force has taken note of this error and will ensure that appropriate measures are put in place to avoid a similar occurrence in the future.
