A 48 year old woman died at National Referral Hospital yesterday after she was assaulted on Saturday night.
White River Police confirmed that the woman received wounds and had bruising on her body as result of the assault.
Currently the investigation is being conducted by White River Police in relation to the cause of the death of the woman.
Police are calling on any witnesses to come forward and provide information in relation to the incident.
At this point of time no further comments will be made as this matter is currently under investigations.
The incident happened on the 3rd of June 2017 at about 23:30 hrs at Forest Valley, White River, West Honiara.
