Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) and Solomon Islands Police Support Program (SIPSP) have recently conducted a one-day Crime Prevention Committee (CPC) workshop in Munda, Western Province.

The training package covers a variety of topics, including crime prevention and CPC, partnerships with police, and its stakeholders. The training was attended by the Dundee church minister.

Tulagi police have arrested and remanded a 55-year-old male person for allegedly raping a 5-year-old girl recently in a village in Big Ngela, Central Province.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province Superintendent David Soakai says, “The rape incidents occurred without the victim’s consent on two different occasions.”

PPC Saokai says, “The first rape incident occurred in November 2024, and the recent incident took place in August 2025 in Tulagi.”

Four officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force attended the 2025 Australian Council of Women and Policing (ACWAP) Conference and the 26th Excellence in Policing Awards in Melbourne last week.

The travel arrangement was funded by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) Policing Partnership Program, and RAPPP Advisor Vanessa Pardy accompanied the officers.

The event, co-hosted by ACWAP and Victoria Police from 17 to 18 September in Melbourne, Australia, brought together delegates under the theme “Advancing Together.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has officially farewelled two Australian Federal Police (AFP) advisors in Honiara recently.

The two advisors are Mark Weber and Cayden Noble Kendall, who work under the Royal Solomon Island Police Force and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) Policing Partnership Program (RAPPP).

More than twenty officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) from Central Police Station (CPS) and the Police Prosecution Department have trained on how to deal with different drug-related crimes.

The training focused on strengthening the practical capabilities of RSIPF officers in anti-narcotics operations.

Assistant Commissioner (AC) of National Capital and Crime Prevention (NCCP) Mr. Simpson Pogeava said the training was facilitated by the China Police Liaison (CPLT) to give more insights to deal with different drugs.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) and the China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) joined Solomon Islands National University (SINU) for a Digital Awareness and Cultural Exchange Program, combining cybersecurity education, AI literacy, and a Cultural and Practical Skills Showcase.

The initiative aimed to help students recognize online risks, strengthen self-protection, and broaden cultural understanding, drawing strong interest from faculty and students.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), with advisory support from the Australian Federal Police (AFP) through the RSIPF–AFP Policing Partnership Program (RAPPP), ensured a safe and secure 54th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders (PIFL) Meeting in the country.

In the lead-up to and throughout the Forum, RAPPP advisors facilitated upgrades to both Honiara Central Police Station and Henderson Police Station, establishing modern Police Forward Command Posts designed to enhance operational coordination across the region.

Residents of the Rifle Range community came together with officers from the RSIPF and members of the RSIPF & AFP Policing Partnership Program (RAPPP) for a two-day celebration marking the Pacific Islands Forum.

The event was designed to bring people together through games, sports, and shared meals, while also creating a space for dialogue between community members and local police. Residents were able to raise concerns directly with White River Police officers and discuss ways to address local issues.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has organized a question and answer (Q and A) session for intended applicants who wish to apply for the Police Response Department (PRD) direct recruitment at Rove police headquarters on 15 September 2025.

The information session provides an opportunity for the RSIPF Human Resources (HR) Team and PRD to clarify doubts on the recruitment process and the next step into the PRD basic course.

Police have arrested a most wanted man at Gold Ridge Mining Limited (GRML) in Central Guadalcanal on 11 September 2025.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Police Force (RSIPF) deployed at GRML have arrested the most wanted suspect near pit two while he was drinking beer with another person.

Police also have arrested the person who drank beer with the prime suspect for further questioning and possible charges of aiding a criminal.
