The Honiara Royal Solomon Islands Police Force investigators have arrested three male suspects and recovered two stolen cash containers following a robbery incident at the Wespac Bank at Point Cruz this morning.
Police alleged there four suspects involved in the attacked which left one of the commercial banks security officers seriously injured on his wrist, before taking off with the large amount of cash on an arranged car.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has thanked the Government of Australia for the continuing assistance under the Australian Defence Cooperation Program to the maintenance of security in Solomon Islands.
Investigators of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) now have a better understanding of how to deal with cybercrime offences following the completion of a Cybercrime Workshop at the Rove Headquarters on 13 June 2018.
The Workshop started from 11 – 13 June, and was attended by 25 police investigators from Honiara City, Guadalcanal Province and the Rove Police Headquarters.
Police at Tulagi in the Central Province have arrested and charged a 30-year-old man from Ghumba Village in Small Ngella for alleged two counts of domestic violence and serious assault.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Superintendent Patricia Leta says, “The alleged suspect will appear before court on 16 July 2018 in Tulagi.”
Superintendent Leta says, “It is alleged that on 10 June 2018 the suspect told his 8-year-old son to have his bath but his son refused. As a result the suspect was angry so he kicked and punched his son.”
The Guadalcanal police are continuing an effort in trying to find a nine (9) year old boy who went missing, after a trip out with his two other brothers at Marau resort area yesterday morning.Police alleged the victim was with his two brothers who were diving while he kept the canoe at approximately about 10: am yesterday. The both boys surface to check on him in the afternoon but he wasn’t seen till today.A police team was sent in with the help of locals searching the site for the whole part of the day, but couldn’t find anyone or any piece of evidence of where about of him and his canoe.
