Auki police have arrested a 49-year-old male suspect for an intimidation incident on November 18, 2024, at Koa village in West Kwaraáe.
It was alleged that the 49-year-old male suspect was drunk, very aggressive, armed with a bush knife, and threatened to kill a complainant.
The suspect did point the knife towards the complainant, walked to him, and said that he would cut him with the bush knife.
Police in Tulagi have arrested two chiefs from Salesapa village in Central Islands province for demanding money on November 17, 2024.
RSIPF Commissioner Mostyn Mangau said the arrests have been done during a patrol to small Ngella.
Commissioner Mangau said it was alleged that the two chiefs were drunk and approached the victims’ family, and they harshly demanded $10,000 cash.
Auki police have arrested a 30-year-old male suspect for raping a person with disability in a village in West Mbaelelea, Malaita province, recently.
It was alleged that the suspect led the victim into the bush between July and November 2024 and had sex with her on several occasions.
Her aunty noticed changes on the victim’s appearance, and she took her to the clinic for a pregnancy test, and she is positive. The victim is now under medical care at Kilufii Hospital.
Tulagi police have arrested a drunk person for damaging a store counter at Salesapa village, small Ngella in Central Islands Province (CIP) on November 17, 2024.
RSIPF Commissioner Mr. Mostyn Mangau said the incident occurred on November 13, 2024, at around 10 a.m., where the suspect was drunk and shot at the front store that was attached to the victims dwelling house.
Mr. Mangau said the suspect used a half brick and shot with full force, causing damage to the front counter of the store.
Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in Auki have arrested two suspects as part of police preparedness for the upcoming festive season operation last week.
RSIPF Commissioner Mr. Mostyn Mangau said the first suspect has been arrested at Kona inland in the Central Kwara'ae, while the second suspect was arrested in Auki town.

Auki police have arrested two male suspects in their 20s for drinking beer in front of a shop in Auki town on November 8, 2024.
Police Commissioner Mr. Mostyn Mangau said the arrest has been done during a police high visibility operation in Auki town as part of preparation for the festive season.
The two suspects were placed in police custody while their court documents have been prepared to appear before the Auki Magistrates Court on a later date.
