A 31-year-old woman died after a 41-year-old male suspect rape her at new Vuhuha village, big Ngella in Central Province recently.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province, Inspector George Mouli said, “The woman died due to heavy bleeding after the suspect rape her.”
PPC Mouli said, “It was alleged that the suspect rape her after a family gathering close to her house.”
Auki police have conducted an awareness talk at Afio and Anololo community in Central Kwara’ae on kwaso and marijuana recently.
The awareness talk conducted as the issue of kwaso (homebrew) and marijuana is rising from bad to worse.
The two communities have been complaining of anti-Social behaviour as a result of main drivers of crime known as kwaso and marijuana.

Taro police have rescued two Bougainville ray boats a few kilometres away from Taro island recently.
The two Bougainville ray boats loaded with luggage and passengers travelled to Choiseul Province for a Church program but ran short of fuel before reaching Taro island.
Luckily, they were drifting on a location that had access to the mobile coverage and they called Taro police for assistance.
Officers at Taro police responded with fuel before they arrived safely at Taro station for check out with Immigration before proceeding with their church activities.
Taro Police have arrested a 53-year-old male suspect for an indecent act of a 17-year-old female victim at a village in East Choiseul recently.
It was alleged that the suspect asked the victim to remove her clothes several times but the victim refused. Despite the refusal from the victim, the suspect insisted and removed her clothes.
Later, the suspect continues to please himself by touching the victim's breast, belly and her back repeatedly. The suspect then told the victim to sit on his leg while he continued to do the indecent act.

Police in Auki have arrested a 20-year-old male suspect for an unlawful wounding incident at Otorodai village, Mbita’ama area in North Malaita on 26 August 2024.
The suspect used a weapon (war club) and struck the victim on the right leg several times, as a result the victim sustained injury with a swollen leg and he was not able to walk at that time of the incident.
The suspect stopped when the war club was broken into half and that was when the injured victim managed to jump out from the house and yelled out for assistance.

A-43-year-old husband have tied his wife to a wooden chair and beat her at Oneoneabu village in Central Kwara’ae, Malaita Province recently.
The husband also used threatening words and promised to kill her while their four-years-old son was watching.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province, Chief Superintendent Tex Tafoa said, “The case was reported to Auki police and the matter was investigated by Auki domestic violence unit.”
