A joint operation between RSIPF Honiara City and Guadalcanal Province confiscated 870 litres of kwaso worth about $43,000.00 at Kotsatsai village, North West Guadalcanal last week.
During the raid, the joint operation arrested a 47-year old female for brewing of illegal substance. The female is believed to be a Papua New Guinea national.
Besides the 870 litres of kwaso, Police also confiscated distilling apparatus which have been detained in police custody.
The PPCs of Honiara City and Guadalcanal Province thanked the communities for working together with Police for in the operation to keep our communities safe and free from disturbances.
Police remind members of the public that brewing of kwaso is illegal and appeal to members of the public to report any suspicious activities.
